Hi, I'm Darcy,

As far back as I can remember, my mother had a camera in her hands. I didn't know it at the time, but she was creating a legacy for me – documenting my life and the lives of those I loved. She was creating a trail of history that would become my most precious inheritance.

My journey with photography started at age twelve while earning a Girl Scout badge, but it was in my junior high school darkroom where magic truly came alive. There was something mesmerizing about watching an image emerge on paper, swishing back and forth in the chemicals. That sense of wonder has never left me.

I was raised by a mother who gave me the extraordinary gift of a true childhood. She allowed me to be a free-spirited kid, to daydream with my head in the clouds, embracing my innocence.

As a parent, you already know – time moves quickly. Each day brings new firsts, subtle changes, and precious moments that slip through your fingers like sand. While you're in the midst of raising your children – managing schedules, preparing meals, handling tantrums, and stealing those precious cuddles – it can be hard to pause and document it all.

Most people think they want photos of everyone pictured
together when what they really
want is the feeling of everyone
being together.

I believe children should be able to whisper their dreams in their parent's ears.

I believe children should treasure simple moments with parents who are fully present.

I believe kids should get dirt in their veins while while being lost in their imagination.

I believe parents and their little ones should run barefoot and wild in fields beneath blue skies.

I believe in building blanket forts and telling stories inside them.

I believe families should create memories that will warm their hearts decades later.

Why I do What I Do.

Having experienced the joy of a childhood filled with wonder,
I'm passionate about creating lasting memories for families.

your child's giggle that changes as they grow

Those precious "I love you's" in small voices

The sound of little feet running down the hallway

-Sound-

The way your child's hair catches the light as they run through the yard

How your baby's face lights up when you say their name

The way your child's eyes crinkle just before they burst into laughter

-Sight-

How your little one reachs for you when they need comfort

The way your toddler's hands gesture while telling stories

The gentle stroke of fingers against your baby's sleeping face

-Touch-

My favorite things that a family film will capture.

Most people think they want photos of everyone pictured
together when what they really
want is the feeling of everyone
being together.

Years from now, these films will be more than just moving pictures. They'll be time machines, taking you back to the days when your children looked at you like you hung the moon, when their hands were still small enough to fit perfectly in yours, and when the house was beautifully chaotic with evidence of a life well-lived.

Your children won't look back and remember how clean the house was or how many items you checked off your to-do list.

What they will remember are the moments you were truly present
playing, laughing, loving. Let's capture those moments together.
