3 Ways you can
tell your story

3 Ways you can
tell your story

In the chaos of never-ending weeks and weekends, it's easy to get caught up in "What's next?" The next school year, the next holiday, the next stage. We wish for different phases – out of diapers, sleeping through the night, walking faster or the two going on twelve attitude. But now is all you have. These moments, exactly as they are, hold their own precious magic.

1 Photographs

Family photography freezes moments. Photographs capture your family's physical beauty and connection. These images become treasured artifacts - visual memories you can hold, frame, and pass down through generations. A photograph lets you see the details: the way your child's hair catches the light, the tender way a parent looks at their child, the split-second of joy in a family embrace.

2 Family Film

Family films capture what photos simply cannot – the living, breathing essence of your family. Films preserve voices and sounds that photos can't capture. Imagine being able to hear your child's belly laugh or the way they pronounce certain words. Family films capture movement and interactions. The way your toddler runs to greet you. Films document your family's authentic personality. Films reveal the beautiful chaos of everyday life and those perfectly imperfect moments that make your family unique.

3 Family Film AND Photos

The photographs become the visual landmarks – the beautiful moments you display and revisit daily. The film becomes your time machine – transporting you back to exactly how it felt to be in those moments.

By capturing both the still and moving moments, you're preserving this chapter in its fullest form, giving your children the gift of their authentic childhood memories.

THE PROCESS

THE PROCESS

Questions I Am Often Asked.

I really want to do a session, but if I'm honest, I want to look and feel better before I do. Is there a way to feel completely comfortable now or should I just wait?

Q

I hear this concern so often, and it comes from a place we all understand. But can I share something true? Your children will never look at these photos and think you needed to lose a few pounds or have your hair done differently. They'll see the parent who loved them fiercely, who created magic in ordinary moments.
In your family's story, you are irreplaceable. The way your little one looks at you - like there's no one else on earth - that's the magic I'm capturing. Not whether your house is perfectly tidy or if you've reached some arbitrary goal.

Time is kryptonite. While we're waiting for the "perfect moment," precious everyday memories are slipping away. Your children won't remember how productive you were or what you checked off your to-do list. They'll remember how present you were, how you laughed together, how safe they felt in your arms.

A

I have tons of photos and videos on my phone, so is it worth it to get them professionally done?

Q

Those phone snapshots and quick videos are treasures – truly! They capture wonderful everyday moments. But there's something fundamentally different about what happens during a professional family film session.

When you're behind the camera, you're missing from your family's story. You're documenting, but not participating. A professional session means everyone gets to be present – especially you. It's the difference between watching your family's moments and being fully immersed in them.
Phone videos capture what happened, but a thoughtfully crafted family film captures how it felt. I focus on the emotional connection.

As someone who grew up cherishing the documented memories my mother created, I understand this from the child's perspective. When your children look back decades from now, they won't just want to see snippets of activities – they'll want to feel transported back to the warmth of your embrace, the sound of your voice reading their favorite story, the safety of your hand holding theirs.

A

I would love to book a session, but I’m pinched financially. How do I know I’m going to love the result in order to make sure the investment is worth it?

Q

What I can share is that this investment grows in value over time. While material possessions depreciate, your family film appreciates with each passing year. When you watch your film five, ten, or thirty years from now, hearing a loved one's laugh or seeing the way your children looked at you with pure adoration becomes absolutely priceless.

My approach begins with truly understanding what matters most to your family. Our pre-session conversation isn't just scheduling details—it's where I learn about the little moments you never want to forget, the relationships you want preserved, and the everyday magic that makes your family unique. This personalized approach ensures your film authentically reflects your family's story.

Remember that unlike many purchases, this isn't about capturing a single moment—it's about preserving this chapter of your family's life in a way that transports you back whenever you watch it. When your children are grown, these films become a portal back to the days when they were small and the house was filled with their laughter.

A

Our family isn’t that natural in front of a camera, so I’m afraid our session is going to be more awkward, posed or uncomfortable than anything else. Is there a way to get around that?

Q

This is one of the most common concerns I hear, and I want to reassure you – feeling camera-shy is completely normal. The beauty of my approach is that it doesn't require you to "perform" or pose at all.
I work with families who specifically "don't like to pose." My sessions are about interaction, not perfection.

When families tell me they feel awkward, I often find they relax completely once they realize there's no pressure to look a certain way or act a specific way. Your children will naturally pull you into their world of play and imagination, and those unguarded moments are precisely what make the most beautiful memories.

Remember, the real magic happens in the ordinary – a gentle hand on a shoulder, spontaneous laughter, quiet moments of connection. The slight imperfections and authentic interactions are what make your family uniquely yours.
